Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. Learn how we protect your data and maintain transparency.

Our Privacy Commitment

At lowbrowse, we are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This privacy policy explains our practices regarding data collection, usage, and protection.

Data We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information (email, name)
  • Content you submit (disputes, feedback)
  • Communication preferences

Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage data and analytics
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address and location data

Analytics

We use a single analytics provider, PostHog (PostHog EU — hosted in the European Union), to understand how the site is used and to measure page performance. Analytics runs only after you give consent through the cookie banner; without consent, no analytics data is collected or transmitted. If you sign up for the beta or newsletter, the contact details you submit are associated with your usage events to manage your invitation.

Analytics is one of the “actions you choose”: it never starts until you consent, and withdrawing consent stops it. The other is marketing attribution (below), which is tied to the signup form you submit yourself. There is no tracking beyond these two.

Marketing Attribution

When you sign up, we capture the marketing parameters that brought you here — UTM tags, ad click IDs (such as Google or Meta click IDs), the referring page, and the page you landed on — at the moment you submit the form. This is captured at submit time from the page you are already viewing: no tracking cookies are set, nothing is stored on your device, and the values are sanitized on our servers before they are stored. We use them only to measure which outreach reached you, so we can improve how we tell people about lowbrowse. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the signup form: the attribution travels with the signup you initiated, never separately.

Service Providers (Processors)

We rely on a small set of service providers to operate lowbrowse. Each processes personal data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement, and the list is intentionally short:

  • Vercel — hosts this website and serves it from a global edge network. Vercel processes request data (such as IP addresses) as a processor to deliver pages to your browser.
  • PostHog — our single product-analytics provider, hosted in the European Union. PostHog processes usage data only after you give analytics consent, as described under Analytics above.
  • Brevo — our transactional and marketing email provider, hosted in the European Union. Brevo sends the signup confirmation and welcome emails and records delivery events (opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes) so we can keep your contact record accurate and respect your opt-outs.
